Malabon Mayor Lenlen Oreta says he will return to being private citizen

Malabon City Mayor Lenlen Oreta on Sunday said he will not run for public office in Eleksyon 2022.

Oreta said he will return to being a private citizen.

"Well, definitely I'll be a private citizen," Oreta told reporters.

"But definitely I'm also here to help my brother," he said, adding he will share what he has learned in overseeing the City of Malabon.

Oreta was referring to his younger brother, incumbent Malabon City Councilor Enzo Oreta. 

The younger Oreta filed his certificate of candidacy for Malabon mayor on Sunday, accompanied by Mayor Lenlen.

Oreta is on his third term as Malabon City mayor. —KG, GMA News
