Don't vote for me if you won't vote for Alan - Duterte

While all eyes are on Davao City Mayor Rodrigo "Rody" Duterte, PDP-Laban's official presidential candidate himself put the spotlight on his running mate Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.

 

He told the crowd composed of PDP-Laban members and supporters gathered for the party's proclamation rites, to not vote for him if they will not vote for Cayetano.

 

"He has always been with me. He is good. He is intelligent... Kung hindi kayo boboto kay Alan, huwag n'yo akong botohin," he said.

 

He joked that if he wins and Cayetano won't be his vice president, he said he might as well get rid of that person.

 

"Uunahin ko talaga," he said.

 

Aside from Cayetano, other vice presidential bets are Sen. Gringo Honasan for Vice President Jejomar Binay, Sen. Chiz Escudero for Sen. Grace Poe, Rep. Leni Robredo for former Interior Sec. Mar Roxas, and Sen. Bongbong Marcos for Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago.  — Trisha Macas/ELR, GMA News
