Partido Galing at Puso bet Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero on Tuesday morning conceded in the vice presidential race.

Escudero made the announcement at a press conference in his hometown in Sorsogon.

As of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Escudero ranked fourth and got 4,531,384 votes according to the live partial and unofficial results from the transparency server of the Commission on Elections.

Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo had 13,150,629; Sen. Bongbong Marcos, 13,062,236; and Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano got 5,388,255 votes.

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV got 786,085 votes, while Sen. Gringo Honasan got 704,411 votes.

Honeymoon time

At the press conference, Escudero said he is looking forward to his postponed honeymoon with his spouse, actress Heart Evangelista.

“Looking forward to quieter times at mas maraming panahon sa pamilya. At siguro 'yung matagal na naudlot na honeymoon ay matutuloy na,” Escudero said.

At the end of the press conference, he exclaimed, "Okay, bakasyon na!"

Positive disposition

Escudero said the election has been a good experience for his celebrity spouse.

“Unang karanasan niya ito sa aktibong pangangampanya at naging malusog naman para sa kaniya ang karanasan na ito,” he said.

Meanwhile, he encouraged his supporters to support whoever wins the elections.

“Simulan natin sa pagbuklod-buklod ang bansa. Mag-unite sa likod ng iisang lider, pinili man natin o hindi, binoto man natin o hindi,” Escudero said.

Escudero also thanked those who supported him during his campaign.

“Naging malaking karangalan sa akin na makatrabaho lahat ng nakatrabaho at nakasama ko nitong nakaraang buwan kaugnay ng halalan na ito,” he said.

When asked where he gets his positive disposition, he said, “Kapag gumigising ka naman at maganda rin ‘yung katabi mo, eh ‘di maganda rin ‘yung paggising mo palagi tuwing umaga.”
