Leni to Facebook hater: I wish it was I who died in plane crash

Administration vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo received a particularly "vicious" post on Facebook after she took the lead from Senator Ferdinand Marcos in the partial and unofficial tally from the Commission on Elections' transparency server.

Robredo said she almost responded to the hater but kept herself in check the way she said she had done over the course of the 90-day campaign.

'Napaka evil mo. Sana ikaw na lang yung nasa eroplanong bumagsak, hindi yung asawa mo'," Robredo told Jessica Soho in an interview on GMA News TV's "State of the Nation."

Robredo was first placed under the national spotlight following the death of her husband then Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo in 2012.

Ano yung bigger picture? Hahayaan mo bang parang ma-drag down ka nung mga hindi mabubuti?" she added.

Robredo said she couldn't afford to lose her focus.

Robredo also denied Marcos' statement that there was an administration plot to manipulate the election results so that she would win the vice presidential race.

Marcos lamented that his early and huge lead disappeared early morning of Tuesday as the transparency server continued to receive results from election returns across the country.

In an interview on "24 Oras," Marcos said he didn't know where the results were coming from. —NB, GMA News
