Comelec’s Guanzon: 350,000 new registrants for barangay, SK polls in just 3 days

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday said that more than 350,000 voters have registered for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections on October.

Commissioner Rowena Guanzon announced the number in her Twitter account, where she emphasized that the number of new registrants was achieved in just three days.

The registration for the Barangay and SK elections started last Friday, July 15. The last day of registration is set on July 31.

The Comelec had assured that its offices will be open every day, including weekends and holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the voters' registration.

The poll body is expecting six million voters to register for the Barangay and SK elections that will be held on October 31. —ALG, GMA News
