Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte won't attend the Senate inquiry on extrajudicial killings despite the accusations against him by alleged hitman Edgar Matobato.
GMA News' Tina Panganiban Perez reported Duterte dismissed Matobato's allegations that he had a businessman killed as baseless and mere hearsay.
Duterte, however, had his own accusation against an unnamed senator.
"Kung ako makakuha ng ebidensya sa inyo, I'll see to it na kung ako ang makakaakusa sa inyo, merong isang senador diyan na gumagamit ng cocaine," Duterte said.
"Kung makakuha ako ng ebidensiya, ilalabas ko talaga," he added.
Matobato in his Senate testimony alleged that Duterte's father, President Rodrigo Duterte, ordered the killing of criminals in Davao City when he was mayor.
He said that he also served as one of the vice mayor's security aides.
"I don't have the time para harapin yang mga ginagawa niyo. Hindi ko siya kilala. Baliw siguro yan," Duterte said. —NB, GMA News
