Anti-Marcos groups hold protests at Bantayog ng mga Bayani

Protesters held a program at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani on Monday to coincide with the 100th birth anniversary of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB).

According to a report on Unang Balita by Jay Sabale, the protesters began preparing for the protest on Sunday evening by draping black and red cloth on the gate of the Bantayog ng mga Bayani.

The protest action was scheduled at 8 a.m.

Protesters were ready with banners bearing slogans such as "No Deal With The Marcoses" and "No To Dictatorship".

The Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses to Malacañang (CARMMA), Samahan ng mga Ex-Detainees Laban sa Detensyon at Aresto (SELDA), Block Marcos, and other protest groups have been forbidden to enter the LNMB.

Nevertheless, CARMMA and SELDA held a caravan to the LNMB and was held up in traffic, radio dzBB reported. —Rie Takumi/KG, GMA News
