Duterte attends Michelle Ortega’s wedding in Baguio City

President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday took a break from his usual Malacañang duties to attend the wedding of singer and incumbent Department of Social Welfare and Development Assistant Secretary Michelle Ortega to one of the Philippine National Police's top officials.

Ortega married Director Gregorio Pimentel, head of the PNP Directorate for Intelligence in Baguio City.

Pimentel used to be the head of the Police Region Office 1. He was also once based in Duterte's bailiwick of Davao City when he served as the chief of the Highway Patrol Group in the region.

Also in attendance were Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher "Bong" Go and Senator Tito Sotto.

This is not the first time that Duterte attended a social gathering of the Ortegas. He also attended the 18th birthday celebration of Ortega's daughter with former Senator Lito Lapid, Ysabel, in February 2017. — BM, GMA News
