Cesar Montano quits tourism post amid P80-M controversy

Actor Cesar Montano has resigned his post as chief operating officer of the Tourism Promotions Board.

According to a report on "24 Oras", Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said she had accepted Montano's resignation.

Puyat upon assuming the office of secretary ordered an investigation into the TPB's P80-million funding for the Buhay Carinderia culinary tourism project.

Montano said it was former Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo who introduced him to the proponent of the Buhay Carinderia campaign. —NB, GMA News
