Duterte supporters gather at Luneta on Marcos’ Martial Law anniversary
Supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday gathered at the Rizal Park to show support for his presidency as the country marked Ferdinand Marcos' declaration of Martial Law 46 years ago.
The rallyists arrived in buses with signs reading “We support President Duterte,” apparently mobilized by several local governments.
They wore red and yellow shirts printed with the names of the mayors in their respective cities.
Supporters came from Caloocan, Valenzuela, Pasig, Pasay, and Las Piñas.

The gathering kicked off at a high note, with the rallyists cheering for Duterte.
But as the weather took a turn for the worse, the supporters cleared the field and took shelter in the trees.
Meanwhile, police have formed a barricade between the venue of the Duterte supports’ rally and the venue for the Martial Law protest to be held at 4 p.m. —NB, GMA News
