Cops get year-end bonus, cash gift

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has released over P7 billion for the year-end bonuses of its active personnel, both uniformed and non-uniformed.

A PNP release on Thursday said a year-end bonus represents the equivalent amount of one-month basic salary and the mandated P5,000 cash gift from the national government.

The PNP Finance Service said the year-end bonus has been credited to individual ATM payroll accounts of each PNP personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines.

There are a total 191,619 active duty uniformed and non-uniformed PNP personnel nationwide.

The release of year-end bonuses, meanwhile, is deferred to PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases.

PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said this is in accordance with PNP's disciplinary policy. —KBK, GMA News
