DepEd moves Christmas break earlier to December 15

The Department of Education has moved schools Christmas break earlier from December 22 to December 15.

In its order, the DepEd said it values children spending quality time with their loved ones, and that the Christmas season is an opportunity for students to strengthen their emotional bonds with their family.

But the DepEd said December 15, Saturday, will remain as a class day intended for student activities.
