Revilla: ‘Wala kong ninakaw ni sentimo mula sa taumbayan’

Former Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. on Monday reiterated that he did not steal even a single centavo from the public. 

“'Yan nga ang napatunayan ng hukuman na wala kong ninakaw ni sentimo mula sa taumbayan,” Revilla said in his first speech since the acquittal at a flag ceremony in the city hall of Bacoor, Cavite.

On Friday, Sandiganbayan found Revilla not guilty of plunder in connection with the multi-billion-peso pork barrel fund scam. 

Revilla said that he had the confidence to undergo judicial procedures, considering that that he knew he did nothing wrong.

“Pero sabi nga, ang paglilinis ng pangalan kailangang dumaan at mapasailalim sa  proseso. Para kang nagpapanday ng asero na kailangang padaanin sa nagbabagang apoy,” he said.

Revilla also thanked his family and those who supported him during the four years he was in detention. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
