In small groups or solo, senatorial bets woo voters in Metro Manila, provinces


On the fourth day, senatorial candidates campaigned either in small groups or individually, wooing voters with speeches and campaign materials.

Former senator Jinggoy Estrada and broadcaster Jiggy Manicad, who is running under Davao Mayor Sarah Duterte's Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) coalition went to Baguio City and Agoo, La Union, according to the report of Ian Cruz on GMA's "24 Oras."

Estrada was earlier endorsed by President Rodrigo Duterte, but the chief executive later on took back the endorsement.

Several candidates of HNP also visited Lubao in Pampanga and were hosted by Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Otso Diretso candidate Erin Tanada had a dialogue with tricycle drivers of Binan, Laguna, while fellow Otso Diresto bet Gary Alejano toured a public market in Libmanan, Camarines Sur.

Another Otso Diretso senatorial hopeful, former solicitor general Florin Hilbay, spent the day with voters in Iriga City.

Labor Party of the Philippines senatorial bet Shariff Ibrahim Albani went around Tandang Sora in Quezon City, while independent candidate Rafael Alunan was at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

On Thursday, Otso Diretso candidate, reelectionist Senator Bam Aquino visited Tigaon in Camarines Sur.

Five senatorial candidates -- Ernesto Arellano, Neri Colmenares, Leody de Guzman, Sonny Matula and Allan Montano -- went together in a motorcade to from Caloocan City to Quezon City.

The five candidates call their slate Labor Win representing their platform for the workers.

Reelectionist Senator Nancy Binay of the United Nationalist Alliance went to Baguio City.

Another reelectionist senator, Grace Poe, barnstormed Tondo in Manila.

Candidate Melchor Chavez campaigned in Quezon City.
