Poe: No plan to run for President again

Senator Grace Poe reiterated on Monday that she has no plan to seek the presidency again in the 2022 national elections.

Poe, who lost the race to then Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, said she has already been given a chance in 2016 and that is enough for her.

Marami naman diyang puwede na maaaring i-konsidera ng ating mga kababayan,” she said in an ambush interview during a campaign sortie at Blumentritt Market.

She added that she can still help the country by doing her work in the Senate.

“Kahit naman sa Senado marami rin naman tayong puwedeng maitulong,” she said.

Poe is seeking her second six-year term in the Senate.

On the allegation that she was among the candidates with illegal campaign posters, the senator scored the Commission on Elections for being selective.

She said that she only has a few posters while those who plastered several campaign materials on streets are not included in the list.

Forty senatorial candidates have been found to have illegal campaign posters, Commissioner Rowena Guazon said in a tweet on Friday afternoon.

In her Twitter post, Guazon posted what appeared to be the list of Senate bets who were found to have illegal campaign materials as of Thursday. —KG, GMA News
