Duterte campaigns in Laguna for PDP-Laban, guest Senate bets

President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday was in Biñan City, Laguna, campaigning for the PDP-Laban Senate bets in the 2019 elections.

Duterte, who chairs PDP-Laban, attended a rally in the vote-rich province, calling on voters to support the ruling party.

During the rally, he endorsed the "MaBaGoKoTo" PDP-Laban candidates, raising the hands of Maguindanao 2nd District Representative Zajid Mangudadatu, former Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa, former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go, reelectionist Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III, and former Presidential Political Adviser Francis Tolentino.

After taking photos with the five PDP-Laban ticket, the president also called on guest candidates to join the photo op as he endorsed these candidates as well.

The guest candidates included musician Freddie Aguilar, former Interior Secretary Rafael Alunan, Senator Sonny Angara, former Senator Pia Cayetano, daughter of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Imee Marcos, Senator JV Ejercito, and Senator Cynthia Villar. — Margaret Claire Layug/DVM, GMA News
