Duterte willing to raffle off his slot at Libingan ng mga Bayani

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday said that he is willing to give away his slot at the Libingan ng mga Bayani and even put it up for a raffle draw.

"I will die, I will disappear, I will be forgotten and I don't expect to be remembered, I do not want to be remembered," Duterte said during an event for Barangay leaders held in Pasay City.

"Gusto ninyo 'yung Libingan ng mga Bayani, meron akong slot dyan, ipa-raffle ko. Kung sino 'yung manalo, gusto mo sikat ka, sige doon ka palibing," he added.

The President said he instructed his family to simply cremate his body within 24 hours and scatter his ashes to the ground.

He added that he doesn't dream of ending up in heaven after he dies: "As a matter of fact wala akong ambisyon ng langit kasi nakita ko doon sa mga libro ng pari puro dasalan doon, ayaw ko 'yan."

Further, Duterte underscored that his term would end in three years and gave a message to the next leader who will fill in his shoes.

"To the President who will succeed me, particularly, ito ang dapat niyang intindihin... Dalawa po. 'Yung una sa law and order and the second would really be corruption," he said. — BAP, GMA News
