CSC Commissioner wants cellphone ban among gov't agencies' front liners

Civil Service Commissioner Aileen Lizada on Tuesday said she will recommend that the use of cellphones by employees assigned as front liners of government agencies be prohibited.

'Yun ho 'yung gusto nating i-set," Lizada said in a phone interview on GMA News' Unang Balita.

"After my regional visits, I might come up with a suggestion to the Commission," Lizada added.

Lizada has been conducting surprise inspections of government offices in different regions to check employees who are just loafing on the job.

She reminded government employees to be responsible and fulfill their duties as they are being paid with good salary.

Front liners, you are the face of the agency. Whatever you say, whatever you do will reflect sa agency," she said.

Lizada said she will continue doing unannounced inspections. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA News
