Senatorial bets kick-start weekend campaigns

Senatorial candidates took their chances in the first weekend of April and used the time to woo as many voters as they can for the elections next month.

According to Tina Panganiban-Perez on her report on 24 Oras," Otso Diretso candidate Samira Gutoc campaigned in Pasay on Saturday, while Mar Roxas brought his campaign to Manila.

Meanwhile, PDP-Laban bet Bong Go went to Quezon Province with Senator Sonny Angara, Pia Cayetano, and Imee Marcos.

Senator Cynthia Villar was spotted in Romblon while Bong Revilla went to Pangasinan.

Candidates who also went solo on Saturday were Neri Colmenares in Laguna, Juan Ponce Enrile in Leyte, Lito Lapid in Cotabato, Allan Montaño in Tarlac, and Dan Roleda in Surigao.

Sonny Matula, on the other hand, was in Cavite on Friday.

Revilla, Cayetano, Angara, Go and Villar were also in Misamis Oriental on Friday together with Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, JV Ejercito. Go also made rounds in Bulacan the same day. —Margaret Claire Layug/LBG, GMA News
