Duterte satisfaction rating rises to +66, ties personal high —SWS

President Rodrigo Duterte obtained a "very good" satisfaction rating of +66 in the First Quarter 2019 survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS), which ties his personal high set in June 2017.

The survey found Duterte with a net satisfaction rating of +66 (79 percent satisfied minus 13 percent dissatisfied), classified by SWS as "very good."

This satisfaction ration was higher by six points from the +60 he got in December 2018.

The First Quarter 2019 Social Weather Survey was conducted from March 28-31, 2019 using face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adults (18 years old and above) nationwide: 360 each in Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao (sampling error margins of ±2.6% for national percentages, and ±5% each for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao).

The six-point rise in Duterte's net satisfaction rating was due to increases of 15 points in Mindanao; seven points in the Visayas; four points in Balance Luzon; and, three points in Metro Manila.

Among class ABC, the March 2019 survey showed Duterte setting a new record high net satisfaction rating with +69 (83% satisfied, 14% dissatisfied).  This surpassed his previous record of +66 in December 2017 and June 2018.

Among the class D or the masa, Duterte got +68 (80% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied) in March.

It stayed very good in class E, at +58 (74% satisfied, 16% dissatisfied) in March, although down by seven points from +65 (77% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied) in December 2018.

Duterte's net satisfaction rating stayed very good among men at +68 (81% satisfied, 13% dissatisfied) and among women at +65 (78% satisfied, 13% dissatisfied).

As to age group, Duterte's net satisfaction rating rose from very good to excellent among 18-24 year olds, at +70 (83% satisfied, 13% dissatisfied) in March 2019.  This is up by 8 points from +62 in December 2018.

It also rose from very good to excellent among 35-44 year olds, at +70 (81% satisfied, 11% dissatisfied), while staying very good
among 45-54 year olds, at +68 (80% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied). —LDF, GMA News
