‘Bikoy’ clears opposition, media groups of any role in anti-Duterte videos

The man who claimed to be the hooded former member of a drug syndicate in a series of online videos has cleared the opposition and certain media groups of involvement in his allegations against members of President Rodrigo Duterte's family.

Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be the narrator Bikoy on the "Ang Totoong Narco List" videos, said his videos had no connection with the Otso Diretso senatorial slate and certain media organizations perceived to be critical of the Duterte administration.

“Gusto kong linawin na wala akong kaugnayan sa kahit kaninong kandidato, lalo na sa mga kandidato ng Otso Diretso, o political party,” Advincula said.

“Wala rin akong kaugnayan sa mga media personalities at institusyon na pinangalanan ni Pangulong Duterte sa kaniyang matrix,” he added.

Advincula denied that he knew Rodel Jayme and his “clients.”

It was Jayme who put up the site where the video series was first posted.

Jayme was taken into custody last week and was indicted for inciting to sedition on Monday.

He has expressed willingness to cooperate with the authorities after saying that an acquaintance engaged his services supposedly for the Otso Diretso senatorial campaign.

Jayme said he didn't know that the website he made would be used for the videos that would link Duterte's loved ones to illegal drugs.

Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo at a news briefing linked the Bikoy videos to an ouster plot involving anti-Duterte personalities and media organizations.

Advincula said he was willing to appear before a Senate inquiry.

“Handa po akong humarap sa anumang imbestigasyon upang patotohanan ang lahat ng inilabas ko sa video serye,” Advincula said.

“Samahan niyo ako sa labang ito. Ito ang totoong war on drugs,” he added.

Previous denials

Paolo has dismissed the allegation as a fabrication and linked Senator Antonio Trillanes to the Bikoy series.

"Wow ha. Kung makaimbento ka wagas," Paolo said in a Facebook post.

Duterte's partner Honeylet Avanceña also cried foul over the online videos which also mentioned their teenage daughter Veronica or Kitty.

"Tell them, pag sure oi. Napaka walang hiya ko naman na nanay kung ipangalan ko sa anak ko," Avanceña told GMA News.

Former presidential aide Bong Go on Monday again showed his back to reporters covering his senatorial campaign.

There was no tattoo but there were marks that Go said were caused by ventosa massage. —NB, GMA News
