Duterte mulls Cabinet revamp

There is an ongoing assessment of all Cabinet members and bureau chiefs as President Rodrigo Duterte considers major revamp.

“Tinitignan niya (Presidente) ang performance sa lahat ng secretaries. Sa next three years, ‘yung acceptability sa kanya ng tao, gusto niya i-sustain ‘yun,” according to a source, who refused to be identified because of lack of authority to speak on the matter.

The same source said the President, considering a suggestion from Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez, may transfer Agriculture Secretary Manny Pinol to another post.

“Ang pinakaimportante kay Presidente ay ang Agriculture [department]. Ang inflation, largely because of agriculture [products]. Puede siya (Piñol) sa Minda, bakante naman ‘yun,” the source said, referring to Mindanao Development Authority.

“Pero ‘di pa sigurado. Initial talks pa lang,” the source added.
