PNP retirees to receive pension increase —PNP spokesman Banac

Retirees from the Philippine National Police will receive a pension increase, PNP spokesperson Colonel Bernard Banac said Sunday .

In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Banac said the Department of Budget and Management has already released P21.6 billion for the increment in pension.

"'Yung differential noong January to June ay inaasahan natin na pumasok ito sa kanilang account nitong kahapon (June 29), ito namang para sa July hanggang sa December ay matatanggap ngayong July 16," he said.

The increase will benefit 86,000 pensioners, according to Banac. —Dona Magsino/LBG, GMA News
