Leni welcomes latest Pulse Asia survey, thanks Filipinos for continued support

The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo is thankful for the results of the latest Pulse Asia survey in June that showed her enjoying the trust of the majority of Filipinos and that more have approved of her performance.

Based on the results of the survey of 1,200 adults conducted last June 24 to 30, Robredo's trust ratings jumped up to 52 percent from 47 percent she received last quarter, while her approval rating also rose from 49 percent to 55 percent.

In a statement on Thursday, Robredo's spokesperson Barry Gutierrez said the vice president's camp was grateful for the continued support  and assured the public that it would serve as an "inspiration."

The same survey revealed that President Rodrigo Duterte, who acquired 85-percent trust and approval ratings, is the most trusted government official.

Former Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, on the other hand, remained the least appreciated and trusted top government official. — Margaret Claire Layug/MDM, GMA News
