Phillip Salvador to Duterte critics: ‘Mamatay kayong lahat’

Actor and administration supporter Phillip Salvador on Monday attended the State of the Nation Address (SONA) and called on critics of President Rodrigo Duterte to "drop dead."

"Ginagawa naman ng Pangulo natin ang lahat para sa ikabubuti ng bansa, para sa ikabubuti ng bawat Pilipino pero binabatikos pa rin siya," Salvador said in a report by Raffy Tima on GMA News TV's State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.

"Sa inyo pong lahat na bumabatikos, mamatay kayong lahat," he added, even as he conceded that he understood those who were holding protests.

Action star Robin Padilla also walked the SONA red carpet in support of Duterte.

According to the Philippine National Police, over 8,000 anti- and pro-Duterte rallyists gathered in Quezon City during the SONA. — Dona Magsino/DVM, GMA News
