Albayalde to order demolition of police precincts along sidewalks
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Oscar Albayalde on Tuesday said he will be issuing a directive to regional directors to conduct “self-demolition” of police community precincts (PCP) erected along sidewalks.
“Yes, I think so kasi no less than our SILG (Secretary of Interior and Local Government) naman... I think ‘yung kautusan sa mga local chief executives natin diyan,” Albayalde told reporters.
Albayalde, together with San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, led the demolition of Police Community Precinct 6 in West Crame in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to reclaim public roads which are used for private purposes.

Albayalde said the order of Duterte does not exempt law enforcement units.
“This is not for the few. This is for the majority of Filipino people. Para sa ikagaganda at ikagiginhawa ng kabuhayan,” Albayalde said.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has said there would be sanctions against Metro Manila mayors whi will fail to clear public roads of all kinds of obstruction in 60 days. —KBK, GMA News
