Quiboloy says Sara Duterte 'chosen' by God to be president

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy believes Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, has  been "chosen" by God to be a president of the country.

"The presidency is a gift from God. It is God who determines it. You don't aspire for it. In our experience, if you aspire for it, where are they now?,” Quiboloy said as reported by Unang Balita on Monday.

“For those people who don't aspire for it, God gave it to them like our current president. And I believe our mayor here (Sara) is chosen for that also,” he added.

According to Quiboloy, God has big plans for Sara and it is for the good of the country.

Sara has earlier said she needs to pray for wisdom to decide on the possibility of becoming president.

"Siguro para hindi tayo magkamali, we need to pray for wisdom on how to go about it and how to decide," she said.

Quiboloy is the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church and a supporter of President Duterte. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
