Demolition firm to take care of victims —Hotel Sogo

Hotel Sogo on Monday said that the contractor in-charge of the demolition operations of its building in Malate, Manila vowed to assist those who have been injured in the collapse incident.

"The hotel has been closed for over a year and the building is actually in the process of demolition for the last two months," Hotel Sogo CEO Augusto Corpus said in  a statement.

"We contracted the demolition to a demolition company who has assured us that they will take care of all the injured," he added.

Corpus said the management was prioritizing the safety of everyone who may have been injured but will soon get the investigation report on any lapses by the contractor.  —NB, GMA News
