Alleged ninja cop Baloyo at Bilibid

 
An alleged ninja cop was detained at the New Bilibid Prison after he was cited in contempt by the Senate Blue Ribbon and Justice committees on Thursday for "giving answers that were evasive" during a hearing.

Police Major Rodney Raymundo Baloyo IV was one of the 13 former Pampanga police officers allegedly involved in an irregular anti-drug raid.

At a hearing, Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senator Richard Gordon questioned Baloyo on the buy-bust operation in Woodridge Subdivision, Lakeshore View, Pampanga on November 29, 2013.

Baloyo was determined to be lying when his statement contradicted the investigation results given by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the Region 3 police office, barangay officials, and court records.

The 13 officers were placed on floating status on Wednesday, meaning they have no specific assignment while on active duty. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
