PHL forces draw vs Indonesia to open water polo campaign

The Philippine men's water polo team forced a 6-6 draw against Indonesia to open their Southeast Asian Games campaign on Tuesday.

The Indonesians held a 4-3 lead by the end of the first half, but the Filipinos bounced back strongly in the second half to force a 5-deadlock at the end of the third.

Indonesia once again pulled themselves ahead with another goal, but the Filipinos avoided a loss after scoring a penalty with three minutes left in the final period.

Team Philippines will face Thailand on Thursday at 10 am at the New Clark City Aquatics Center.
