Duterte asks God for fatal aneurysm after presidency

President Rodrigo Duterte said that he had asked God to take his life shortly after his presidency ends in 2022.

“Actually, ako ba sabi ko sa Diyos pagkatapos ko na Presidente, 74 ako ngayon so I will be around 77 by then, sabi ko sa kanya ‘wag mo na akong patagalin,” Duterte said in his speech during his visit to earthquake victims in North Cotabato.

“Bigyan mo lang ako ng aneurysm. Isang," he added as he snapped his fingers.

"O, kung may cancer ako sabihin ko sa asawa ako ‘pag umabot ako ng third stage, no more.  Bakit ko pahabain ang buhay ko na hirap?  Bakit ko pahabain ang buhay ko na masakit?" Duterte said.

"Cancer masakit ‘yan, maski hawakan lang masakit. Wala nang quality of life,” he added.

Duterte said asking him if he was in the pink of health would be crazy.

“Don’t ask me that question. At 74, marami na akong iniinom pati Viagra, wala naman. Itong Viagra sakit sa ulo, magdi-dilate ng blood vessels, kung may ulcer ka balentong ka sa sakit,” Duterte said.

He also recalled his interaction with children afflicted with cancer whom he previously helped.

“One Sunday, hinawakan niya ang paa ko sabi niya puputulin naman ang paa ko bukas, bigyan mo ako ng paa," Duterte said.

"Tinamaan ako,  pumasok muna ako sa wash room, toilet, umiyak ako, naawa ako sa bata. (Sabi ko) sige akong bahala. ‘Pag wala akong paang maibigay sa’yo itong akin ang ibigay ko,” he added.

He said, aside from other needs, he provides titanium legs to those who were amputated, just like what they give to the soldiers.

“Ako ang gumagasto dyan pati yung putol ang paa. Ako ang nagbibili ng titanium para sa kanila, hindi ‘yung plaster. Just like the soldiers, ang mga soldiers maputulan ng paa may replacement na titanium tatakbo na naman uli ‘yan kagaya nung Blade Runner,” Duterte said. 

He also narrated the naughty things he and the kids did.

“Itong tatlong tinutulungan ko teenager na, may kasama akong babae, kumakain kami ng hamburger. Ang mga buang sige ang tingin dun sa naka-miniskirt e, sabi ko buksan mo nang konti. Sabi (nung babae), 'Ayyy.' Sabi ko sige lang maawa ka na, pakita mo lang. Alam ko teenager na, gumaling na e,” Duterte said, drawing laughter from the audience.

He said there was also an instance when he asked his former close aide, now Senator Christopher “Bong” Go to ask the teenagers if they already had a sexual encounter with a woman.

“Sabi nung tatlo hindi pa, sabi ko Bong mamatay din naman ito, bigyan mo. Kinabukasan nagtawag kay Bong, 'Pwede ulit?’” Duterte said laughing. —NB, GMA News
