LTFRB orders PUV drivers, conductors to wear face mask amid nCoV threat
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has directed all public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and conductors to wear face masks on the heels of the very first case of novel coronavirus in the Philippines.
The LTFRB has issued Memorandum Circular (MC) 2020-005 mandating all PUV drivers and conductors “to properly wear face masks at all times while on duty, and for all franchise holders to ensure their compliance.”
“All terminal operators [are] likewise directed to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in their premises, as well as provide face masks and disinfectants or sanitizers for free use to passengers,” the circular read.
