OVP offers free shuttle to health workers

The Office of the Vice President will provide free shuttle services to health workers in Metro Manila amid the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine to fight the  coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Vice President Leni Robredo said her office will begin shuttle services on Wednesday, March 18, 6 a.m., for medical workers, who are at the frontline in the fight against COVID-19.

The OVP’s free shuttle services will serve six routes such as Alabang-Magallanes to Tayuman, EDSA Roxas Blvd. to EDSA Quezon Ave., SM Mall of Asia EDSA to Sta. Lucia East Cainta, EDSA ext. / Macapagal Ave. to Monumento LRT, SM Fairview to Lawton and Balintawak LRT to Heritage Hotel EDSA extension.

Under the guidelines, only medical workers along the routes are allowed to ride the shuttle. They are also required to present their hospital ID to be able to ride the service.

Other precautionary measures such as temperature checks and social distancing will also be observed.
