4 more recover from COVID-19 including 1 senior


The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients in the Philippines who have recovered from the disease rose to 17 on Sunday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases also climbed to 380 while the death toll now stands at 25.

The four latest recoveries were identified as Patients 143, 22, 7, and 51.

All patients were asymptomatic upon their discharge from the hospital after testing negative for COVID-19 once.

Patient 143 is a hypertensive 73-year old Filipino male from Quezon City with a history of exposure to Patient 141. He was discharged on March 19.

Patient 22 is a hypertensive 51-year-old Filipino female from San Juan City who was exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 case. She was discharged on March 18.

Patient 7 is a 38-year old Taiwanese male from Makati City with a history of exposure to another Taiwanese male also infected with COVID-19. He was discharged on Saturday.

Patient 51 is a 26-year old Filipino male from Quezon City who is the son of Patient 134 and the brother of Patient 135. He was discharged on March 16.

The DOH’s online COVID-19 tracker shows that they have so far conducted 1,399 tests with 570 patients under investigation and 6,321 patients under monitoring. — DVM, GMA News
