COVID-19 death toll climbs to 247 as cases reach 4,428

The death toll from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines rose to 247 on Saturday after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 26 new fatalities.

According to data from the DOH, there are also 233 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally of cases nationwide to 4,428.

The number of recoveries, meanwhile, increased to 157 with 17 new patients recovered. -MDM, GMA News
