PNP now has 50 personnel with COVID-19


The number of Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rose to 50, according to PNP spokesman Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac on Tuesday.

Banac said the PNP Health Service has recorded 21 new cases who were all assigned in Metro Manila.

Of the total number of infections, eight have already recovered.

The PNP also recorded a total of 254 probable persons under investigation as well as 348 suspected PUIs.

Banac said a total of 339 personnel, which include 163 probable PUIs and 158 suspected PUIs, have completed their mandatory home quarantine.

The Kianggan Billeting Center inside Camp Crame was being used as a quarantine facility for those who need to undergo self quaranrine.

Other police regional offices were also required to establish quarantine facilities. —LDF, GMA News
