COVID-19 cases in PNP rise to 71

The number of police officersn who have contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has climbed to 71, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Sunday.

Of this number, 10 cops have already recovered from the respiratory illness while three have died.

Meanwhile, 604 other policemen have been classified as suspected COVID-19 cases.

Another 59 are considered probable cases.

The PNP urged cops experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to contact their Health Service.

Nationwide, the disease has already claimed 409 lives and infected over 6,000 people. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
