Philippine Arena quarantine ready to receive COVID-19 patients

The quarantine facility at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan has been turned over by the Iglesia ni Cristo to the Philippine government.

The "We Heal as One Center" at the Ciudad de Victoria is ready to receive COVID-19 patients.

According to a statement, the 300-bed facility provides 24/7 health care, air-conditioned cubicles, free meals for both patients and frontliners, and free internet connection.

It will be manned by 50 health workers from the Department of Health.

“We would like to thank our kapatiran sa Iglesia headed by Chief Minister Eduardo Manalo. The government would like to thank you for your generosity," Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the chief implementer of the national plan against the illness, said.

"Kitang-kita namin na ang spirit of bayanihan is very much alive,” he added.

According to the statement, the Villar Group of Companies provided the hospital beds while the MVP Group of Companies will provide free access for medical health workers and patients through the North Luzon Expressway. -Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
