Number of PNP personnel infected with COVID-19 reaches 112

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said the number of its personnel infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has increased to 112.

In a press statement, the PNP Health Service said among the 112 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 17 have since recovered while the number of fatalities remained at three.

The 92 active cases were undergoing supportive healthcare in various quarantine facilities and hospitals.

The PNP Health Service said the new cases include a 48-year-old male officer from Paranaque City; a 29-year-old male officer from San Juan City; and a 32-year-old male officer assigned in the National Capital Region.

It added that a total of 310 PNP personnel were listed as probable persons under investigation while 384 others were considered as suspected PUIs. -NB, GMA News
