38 more Pinoys abroad get COVID-19, total now at 1,905 — DFA


The number of Filipinos abroad who have contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) reached 1,905 on Wednesday after the Department of Foreign Affairs reported 38 more cases.

Ten more Filipinos have recovered from the viral disease, bringing the total number of recoveries overseas to 523, while patients undergoing treatment are at 1,167.

Meanwhile, the death toll is now at 215 with one new fatality.

Europe still has the highest number of COVID-19 positive Filipinos with 608 cases, 73 deaths, 147 recoveries and 388 undergoing treatment.

The Americas followed with 488 cases, including 121 fatalities, 132 recoveries, while 235 are undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, in the Middle East or Africa, 433 Filipinos have been infected with the illness with 19 deaths, 34 recoveries and 380 undergoing treatment.

In the Asia Pacific Region, there are 376 COVID-19 cases, two of whom have died, 164 are undergoing treatment and 210 have recovered. -NB, GMA News
