Philippines' COVID-19 cases at 12,305 with 214 new infections, 11 new deaths, 101 new recoveries

The Philippines on Saturday reported 214 new infections of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the natonwide tally to 12,305.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), the number of recoveries rose to 2,561 with 101 new ones.

Meanwhile, 11 more fatalities brought the death toll to 817.

Of the new cases, 147 patients or 69 percent are from the National Capital Region while 67 patients or 31 percent are from other areas.

At present, 30 laboratories have been given certification to test for COVID-19.

According to the DOH, 80 laboratories or 74 percent are stage 3 and above. -MDM, GMA News
