US Embassy cancels visa interviews until June 11

The United States Embassy in the Philippines on Thursday announced the cancellation of all visa interviews for immigrant and nonimmigrant visas until June 11 due to the community quarantine measures imposed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

In a statement, the embassy said visa services will resume as soon as possible but it cannot provide a specific date at this time.

After the community quarantine is lifted in Metro Manila, applicants may reschedule their appointments by calling the embassy’s call center at +63 (2) 7792-8988 or +63 (2) 8548-8223, or by booking on the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.

The embassy said rescheduling the appointment is free.

The visa application fees would also be valid for one year, it added. —LDF, GMA News
