PDEA calls on public to report suspected drug activities through hotlines, Facebook

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is encouraging the public to report anti-illegal drug activities through its hotlines and the social media page of its chief, director general Wilkins Villanueva.

According to Villanueva on Wednesday, the Facebook page "Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins," was created solely for informants and concerned citizens who want to help the government's effort in curbing illegal drugs.

"Supplied information may lead to the conduct of intelligence operations and casing and surveillance operations, resulting in the arrest of high-value targeted personalities, seizure of sizeable amounts of illegal drugs, and dismantling of illegal drug facilities,” Villanueva said in a press release.

Villanueva said the public may send their reports to the following numbers:

  • For Globe Subscribers: 09953547020
  • For Smart and Sun Subscribers: 09310278212

He said that the agency will treat the information with utmost confidentiality. — BM, GMA News
