Swab test result of returning Pinoys out in 3 days -testing czar Dizon

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 has rolled out an automated system for Filipinos returning home from abroad that will ensure the release of their test results within three days.

“Kailangan nating gawin ‘to para talagang mapadali ang proseso at hindi na mahirapan ang ating mga umuuwing Pilipino,” coronavirus testing czar Vince Dizon said in Ian Cruz’ Tuesday report on “24 Oras.”

Prior to flying back to the Philippines, returning Filipinos must first register online through the Philippine Red Cross’ system by filling out an e-case investigation form.

They will also need to upload the bio page of their passports.

Afterward, they will receive a QR code that will be scanned upon their arrival at a Philippine international airport.

Once the QR code is scanned by local authorities, returning Filipinos will be given a bar code for their passport and their swab testing.

After having their swab samples collected, they can proceed to the Immigration area.

Once they are cleared by Immigration, returning Filipinos will be assigned to a quarantine facility.

“Dati nga, apat na oras mahigit ang isang flight bago makalabas ‘yung mga pasahero. Ngayon, mahigit isang oras na lang. So do’n mo makikita ‘yung power ng automation,” Dizon said.

Their COVID-19 test results will be released within three days via email or text message.

“I-print ‘yung certificate mo at ipapakita mo na ‘yun sa hotel manager or sa front desk at puwede ka nang umuwi,” Dizon said.

Those who will test positive for COVID-19 will be taken to another quarantine facility.

Dizon said this automated system will be implemented at all international airports, including those in Clark and Mactan. -Julia Mari Ornedo/MDM, GMA News
