PGH nears full capacity for COVID-19 patients

The Philippine General Hospital (PGH), a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) referral hospital, is nearing its full capacity for patients, according to Ivan Mayrina's report on "24 Oras."

"All in all, we have 160 COVID-related patients, no, so that means we have exceeded the 130-bed allocation pero kasi may mga buffer beds din kami," PGH Spokesperson Jonas del Rosario said.

"We're probably about 90 percent of our capacity now, so medyo malapit na rin," he added.

As medical frontliners continued to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Rosario said that the PGH was looking to lighten their load.

— Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
