NAPOLCOM Center lockdown extended until July 17 —management

National Police Commission lockdown

The one-week lockdown at the Department of the Interior and Local Government-National Police Commission (DILG-NAPOLCOM) Center in Quezon City has been extended for another week.

In a statement on Sunday, the NAPOLCOM said an employee of its central office tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

“Therefore, the NAPOLCOM Office, located at EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, West Triangle, Quezon City will be closed to the public for another week from July 13 to July 17,” it said.

The extension of lockdown aims to minimize physical interaction and conduct contact-tracing activity, according to the NAPOLCOM.

On July 5, NAPOLCOM initially announced the office will be placed under lockdown for a week starting from July 6 to July 12, after DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III tested positive for COVID-19.

“In line with this, all NAPOLCOM personnel will be on work-from-home status during the week,” it said.

To accommodate clients whose transaction is to file documents, NAPOLCOM said a Personnel and Administrative Service employee will be stationed at the 7th Floor to receive the documents.

“No other transactions shall be entertained from July 13 – 17, 2020,” the NAPOLCOM said. —LBG, GMA News
