QC church celebrates mobile Mass amid COVID-19 threat

As mass gatherings remained prohibited amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), several churches in Quezon City decided to bring the prayer to the people.

According to JM Encinas' report on "Stand for Truth," Reverend Father Ronald Roberto led the Truck ni Kura project, a mobile Mass that is conducted on the streets aboard a pickup truck instead of churches.

At 6 p.m., Roberto started the Mass aboard the back of a pick-up truck in Barangay Roxas District. Residents were seen outside their houses attending the Mass while wearing face masks and practicing social distancing.

The parish priest started the project on May 26. He admitted that he was first nervous over how the public would receive the project.
