Robredo wants to hear from SONA Duterte's plan on rising COVID cases

VP Leni Robredo SONA 2020 COVID-19 plan amid rising cases

Vice President Leni Robredo wants to hear President Rodrigo Duterte’s plan in addressing the COVID-19 health and economic crisis during his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA), amid the rising number of coronavirus infections.

In her radio program, Robredo said she will appreciate Duterte’s address about the country’s recovery plan from the pandemic.

However, she noted that the number of COVID-19 cases still continues to increase daily.

Robredo pointed out that while efforts are in place to prevent the spread of the virus, the number of cases keeps on increasing.

She said there might be something wrong with government policies if the cases keep on increasing, despite the obedience of citizens with health protocols.

Robredo added that she expects a complete report from Duterte in SONA as she expressed dissatisfaction on the data that were being cited during Duterte’s weekly report on COVID-19 response. —LBG, GMA News
