Bong Revilla rushed to hospital, wife Lani says

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., who has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

In a Facebook post, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla, his wife, said that based on Bong’s latest X-ray, it showed that the senator has developed pneumonia and that isolation in a regular facility was no longer ideal.

“Father God please help my husband… Hospital care [is] badly needed. Father we lift him up to you,” she said.

Revilla will be taken to a hospital in Metro Manila.

On August 9, the senator was placed under isolation and observation after testing positive for the illness.

He has also shared his experience of battling with COVID-19 as he live streamed how he felt waking up alone and weakened by the disease. — RSJ, GMA News
