870 PCG personnel already recovered from COVID-19, Coast Guard says

A total of 870 Philippine Coast Guard personnel have already recovered from COVID-19, the PCG said on Monday.

According to the PCG, of the 997 infected personnel, the number of active COVID-19 cases is now 127.

It said one personnel is being monitored in a COVID-19 referral hospital.

The PCG said those who got infected with COVID-19 were immediately pulled out from their stations and were provided with medical assistance.

Meanwhile, swab testing is regularly conducted among PCG frontline personnel. Aside from the regular testing, vitamins, PPE sets, and medical supplies are also being provided to them.

The PCG is also set to open a quarantine facility by next month. This hub can accommodate up to 224 personnel. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
